Summer Highland Falls is an intense storytelling and exploration game in which you play. Rosalinda, a woman running after her dog, Fuzzy, in the mysterious misty forest.
Worked on creating the world-building narrative script and dialogue for the game.
Helped create the game mechanics, and characters and acted as lead producer for the project.
Narrative Process
During the narrative process of developing this narrative-driven game, the script went through a lot of adjustments on what my team and I wanted to convey to players. It was decided to give the player a tough choice of saving their dog by letting their dog go or both the dog and owner parishing. This was done by creating a timeline and towards the end there is a branch off to either save the dog or both parishes. Players through the story will uncover that they are truly the villains of this story.
Game Design Process
During the game design process since the game, the player will just chase after their dog and follow the dog through the cutscenes that reveal the kind of person that Rosalinda is in the game. Using environmental storytelling and sound cutscenes the player can learn more about the world around them.
Production Process
During the development process of the game, I acted as producer for the game ensuring that everyone does weekly updates and processes for weekly builds. Making sure that everyone is working according to schedule and making sure we address things that need to be adjusted for the game.
